Sometimes a picture is actually worth a thousand words. This may be one of them. The climate of injustice caused by the Atlantic commerce functioned as the context in which the Founders of our nation created the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. This climate has never been substantially corrected, because that would have threatened American prosperity, but now American prosperity threatens the planet. We cannot change this trend, however, until we transform the climate of injustice to a climate of justice. Such a transformation requires us to repair broken relationships and to apply the rule of law so it functions as a guide for the protection of civilians and the earth.
